The one thing on the internet that gives us more hope for humanity than anything else are all the purrfect cat adoption stories.

Listen, we know that the internet has been a rough place lately. Whether the things you see are awesome or terrible is a coin toss. But one thing that has been true about the internet since the dawn of it and will continue to be true until its final electronic breath is that cats… rule the internet. It does not matter whatsoever what is happening in the world - people will always make cat content go viral.

We're talking about funny cat memes and cute cat pictures, of course, but not just that. It's not only the online content that thrives. It is real-life cat communities as well. However dark things may be, people are always continuing to rescue and adopt cats. This is something that we especially want to highlight this June, for National Cat Adoption month! And it's the one thing that consistently gives us hope for humanity. Not everyone will stop for an animal in need, but enough people do. Enough to give us that hope and to fill whole lists full of adoption stories. The ones we've put together here are just from the past month, and they are the ones that caught our attention the most, not all of them, not by a long shot.

Sometimes, this is exactly how it happens. Actually, oftentimes, that's how it happens. Because at the end of the day, it is not we who adopt the cats, it is the cats who adopt us, and they don't care if we had certain plans. They will fit themselves into those plans and then into our homes and into our hearts, and we will be the happiest people in the world thanks to them.

We love it so, so much when stories like this one gain attention. It is so important to us that people know how amazing senior cats are - the kind of incredible and loving pets they make. They don't deserve to spend their golden years inside a cage in a shelter. This is exactly the time for them to be spoiled and loved and at peace with life.
